Appalachian Survey Research Lab (AppSRL)
AppSRL is part of the Center for Economic Research and Policy Analysis (CERPA) and conducts public opinion research about social, political, and economic issues, both regionally and nationally. We support survey research for Appalachian faculty, staff, and students; researchers at other academic institutions; local, state, and federal agencies; and others working in the public interest.
We have the ability to field multi-mode surveys to reach respondents by telephone, mail, and/or Internet. For telephone surveys, we generally staff the lab with 15 to 20 interviewers and utilize Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) techniques. As a general rule, we can finish most large-N academic research studies within 6-8 weeks.
